We have officially hit the 2 month mark. There have been a lot of changes over the past couple weeks. Morning sickness, I mean all day sickness, has hit me with full force. Some days are worse than others. Hopefully this will pass as I near the end of my first trimester.
My tummy seems to be expanding every day. If someone didn't know I was pregnant they would probably think I had a few too many sweets over the holidays (which I did). My clothes are becoming more and more uncomfortable. I have two pairs of jeans that I can wear without being miserable.
Trey and I still haven't told our friends the good news. We want to wait a few more weeks just to be on the safe side. I can't believe I've kept this a secret for this long. Every time I talk to our friends I just want to burst. I've learned a little bit of self control. Our next visit to the doctor is January 8th. We are both nervous and excited. Hopefully everything is progressing properly.
Here's a look at what's going on this week:
Pregnancy in week 8...
How your baby's growing:New this week: Webbed fingers and toes are poking out from your baby's hands and feet, his eyelids practically cover his eyes, breathing tubes extend from his throat to the branches of his developing lungs, and his "tail" is just about gone. In his brain, nerve cells are branching out to connect with one another, forming primitive neural pathways. You may be daydreaming about your baby as one sex or the other, but the external genitals still haven't developed enough to reveal whether you're having a boy or a girl. Either way, your baby — about the size of a kidney bean — is constantly moving and shifting, though you still can't feel it.
